Teaching
As an award-winning teacher and a critical energy justice theorist, I take my responsibility seriously to empower my students with theoretical and analytical skills. I intend that my students leave my classes with a broader knowledge of social justice issues. I firmly believe education has been, is, and always will be the principal component of societal development. My teaching philosophy aligns with my biography as an engineer, energy economist, and social scientist, and it stands on three pillars: critical thinking, skills development, and lifelong learning. I strive to integrate my research focus on energy transition with the effects of energy systems and climate change on people into my teaching.
I have developed and taught the following courses:
MUN 130 - Climate, Energy, & Power
SS3800 - Energy Policy and Technology
SS2300 - Environment and Society
UN 1025 - Global Issues
